Volunteer Opportunities

Nazareth has a small staff and has been blessed with a special ‘choir of angels’ since it opened its doors in 1978. Our angels have contributed their time, talent and treasure in a myriad of ways and support our ministries through their own unique gifts.

Our many guests benefit by their presence. Through their generous assistance we are able to provide an environment that gives our guests the opportunity to spend time in reflection and prayer to better themselves and all whom they serve; to allow God to touch deep into their hearts and lives.

Would you be interested in becoming a Nazareth Angel by volunteering your time and talent? All volunteer opportunities are coordinated around your schedule. These opportunities provide a great experience for couples, families, small faith groups, or individually.

You will meet new people, contribute to a grateful non-profit facility, and have a wonderful experience. We are most grateful for our ‘choir of angels’.

MEALS: Angels are always welcome to help with preparation and clean up of the dining room for breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffets. Our volunteers prepare beverages, help kitchen staff with some minor prep work, watch the buffet line during the meal, and clean up the dining room after the meal. You are also welcome to enjoy the meal yourself!. We call in advance and you decide which dates and times work best for your schedule.

LIBRARY: Angels are needed to prepare donated books for the shelves. No library experience is needed.

GARDENING: Are you interested in maintaining a flower bed or performing some general light gardening of the grounds? If so, our groundskeeper would love to hear from you!

MUSICIANS: Our Taize Prayer evenings are wonderful opportunities for musicians to come together to help create a peaceful, prayerful environment. Come and share your gift with us as we pray through music.

OFFICE: Our office staff occasionally needs assistance in filing, preparing information books or Taize music programs.

GREETER: We are in the process of developing a program where angels would act as a greeter for incoming retreatants. They would help with check-in, escort them to their rooms and provide them with any information they may need. Training sessions will be provided.
