A
TIME FOR PRAYER
TAIZE PRAYER
Come join us for an hour of
music and prayer. This hour of prayer is based on the ecumenical
Christian prayer. Taizé prayer uses simple chants
based on the Scriptures and periods of silence in a candlelit,
meditative environment to create a peaceful setting in which
we can encounter the mystery of God. The music has a way
of continuing our prayer in the silence of our hearts when
we are resting or working even when we are unaware of it.
Join us Thursday evenings during Advent, December 4, 11, and 18 from 7:00pm to 8:00pm. Following the prayer on December 18, we will gather for an Advent Celebration.
Additional
dates in 2009 are January
15, February 26, March 5, 12, 19, 26 and April 2 (Lent) and May 7.
All times are 7:00pm to 8:00pm
Rooms
are available for small faith group sharing before
or after prayer service. Contact office
to reserve a room.
There
is No Charge and no registration necessary for Taizé Prayer
.

EVENING OF PRAYER and SPIRITUAL ENLIGHTENMENT
May 4, 5, and 6, 2008
7:00pm
"PRAYING WITH ST PAUL"
Presented by Sister M. Beverly Greger, H.S.M. from Marymount Hermitage in Mesa, Idaho.
To
celebrate the bi-millennial birth of St Paul, the Holy Father has
declared June 29, 2008-2009 the Year of St Paul. To participate
in this grace for the Church, Nazareth is offering three evening
classes and times of prayer. The general theme for these classes
will be "Praying with St Paul" and each evening will have a different
subject matter. Classes can be attended individually, but our hope is
that you can attend all three, which are an organic whole and will
build on each other. We will use the letters of St Paul to
understand his teaching on prayer and his personal prayers to guide our
own. Each evening will combine a teaching and time for individual
prayer in chapel or on the grounds of Nazareth. Please bring a
notebook, pen and Bible for participation in this dynamic presentation.
Adults and older teens can profit by this experience.
A free-will offering, which will go towards the support of the Hermit Sisters of Mary, will be suggested.
